INTERNET SERVICE STARTS AT $65 per month

After installation, internet service from the PUD begins at $65/mo (or $45 for customers enrolled in the PUD's low-income program). An application for monthly service will be required at a later date to activate. Service from the PUD comes with a gigabit WiFi router. See the Services tab at the top for more info. Because the network is open access, other service providers will also be available to provide additional monthly service options for you to choose from.

NO INSTALLATION CHARGE FOR ELIGIBLE CUSTOMERS!

In our rural project areas, the PUD will install fiber optic cable to eligible residents and businesses at no cost to the customer. Installation to the home or business will generally follow the power routes, either underground or overhead. In the Port Townsend Business District area, fiber installation is only available to businesses and requires a $1,200 cost share.

We are unable to install fiber to most homes or businesses outside of designated project areas at this time. Homes or businesses immediately adjacent to project areas may be able to have fiber installed by paying a portion of the construction cost. See our FAQ tab at the top for more info.

FUNDED BY FEDERAL AND STATE GRANTS & LOANS

The PUD has received over $50 Million in state and federal funding to build fiber internet to homes and businesses in eligible project areas within our electric service territory. We are now accepting signups for fiber in those areas. See the Service Areas tab at the top for more info.

Superfast, Super-reliable Internet & Wifi powered by PUD Fiber

Fiber optic cable is future-proof. Fiber from the PUD will be able to deliver up to 10 Gigabits per second up and down everywhere in our network.

Fiber to the home or business means little lag, no buffering, and no congestion due to lack of bandwidth. Unlike satellite or cellular there's no interference from trees, clouds, or surrounding buildings and hills.

Fiber to the home adds up to 3% to property values on average, nationally. Grant funding in project areas covers all costs to build fiber to the home for the first 60-70% of sign-ups. See FAQs for eligibility rules.

Internet and Wifi powered by PUD fiber will allow rural Jefferson County to have some of the fastest internet in the nation.
